Awards
While we appreciate the recognition, at ARAG® we believe our awards stand for something more. The following honors given for customer service excellence, communication effectiveness, and employee satisfaction are another way to demonstrate that we are what we say and we do what we promise.
Service Awards:
- Stevie Awards
The American Business Awards honored ARAG with the 2009 Stevie Award® as Customer Service Team of the Year in the banking, financial services and insurance category. More than 2,600 entries were submitted from companies of all sizes and industries.
- BenchmarkPortal
ARAG’s Customer Care team earned certification as a Center of Excellence from BenchmarkPortal for 2007, 2008 and 2009. According to this national benchmarking organization, only 5 to 7 percent of the companies reviewed achieve the performance results required to certify. Even fewer companies receive the award in consecutive years.
Workplace Awards:
- Best Places to Work in Insurance
ARAG was named one of the Best Places to Work in Insurance by Business Insurance magazine and Best Companies Group in 2009. The selection was based on in-depth assessment of workplace benefits, policies, practices, employee engagement and satisfaction.
- IFCA Awards
ARAG Cares earned an Award of Excellence in the Community Service category for the Insurance and Financial Communicators Association’s 2009 competition. IFCA competitors include many of the most respected financial organizations in the U.S. and Canada.
- ASTD Awards
ARAG was honored with a 2009 Workplace Learning and Performance Award from the Central Iowa Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) in the category of Training as a Business Strategy.
Marketing and Communications Awards:
- Hermes Creative Award
ARAG earned a 2010 Gold Award for outstanding writing from Hermes Creative Awards for the white paper "Legal Needs of Today’s Multi-Generational Workforce." Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, and emerging technologies.
- AAF ADDY® Award
In the category of Non-Traditional Advertising, ARAG won both a Gold ADDY and Best of Class Award for a 2010 benefits enrollment event. The award was presented by the American Advertising Federation of Des Moines, Iowa.
- PRSA PRIME Award
The Central Iowa Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America honored ARAG with four PRIME Awards in 2010. Honors were earned in the following categories: Integrated Communication Campaign, Electronic Communication, Computer Based Documents and Promotional Writing.
- AMA Nova Award
In 2010 ARAG received two Nova Awards from the Iowa Chapter of the American Marketing Association. Honors were given in the categories of Public Relations and Interactive-Web site.
- IABC Bronze Quill
In 2010, the Iowa Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators presented ARAG with three Bronze Quills for outstanding work in the field of communications. Receiving the IABC’s Award of Merit were My Story videos, Legal Risk Assessment and LawExpresso™.
