Our Parent Company
ARAG® is a subsidiary of ARAG Group, a global leader in legal insurance. Our parent company was founded in 1935 by Heinrich Fassbender, an attorney from Oberhausen, Germany, and began by selling legal insurance to auto owners, drivers and passengers. Today we maintain the freedom of being a privately held organization under the direction of Dr. Paul Otto-Fassbender.
In addition to our German base, ARAG serves customers in 12 European countries and the United States, protecting 15.5 million people worldwide. With quality companies located throughout the world ARAG produces more than $1.79 billion in annual sales and premiums. In the spirit of our founder, ARAG continues to remain focused on the customer as we continually seek ways to develop innovative services to protect plan members.
