Our Parent Company
ARAG® is a subsidiary of ARAG Group, an international leader in legal insurance. Our parent company was founded in 1935 by Heinrich Fassbender, an attorney from Oberhausen, Germany, and began by selling legal insurance to auto owners, drivers and passengers. Now in addition to the U.S. and Canada, ARAG has operations in 13 countries and protection legal resources to 14 million people across the globe.
The customer is the focus of everything we do, and each subsidiary seeks ways to develop innovative services for our plan members. With quality companies located throughout the world and more than 1.3 billion euros in sales and premiums, our parent company is the International Leader in legal protection. We continue to maintain the freedom of being a privately held organization under the direction of Dr. Paul Otto-Fassbender.
