As the Chief Sales Officer, Jim has more than 20 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. Jim has consulted with some of the nation’s largest employers seeking employer-paid and voluntary legal programs.

Prior to joining ARAG, Jim was National Vice President of Sales and Marketing for EyeMed Vision Care and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. In addition, Jim was responsible for the oversight and administration of regional government programs administered by Anthem.

Education: Jim received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Toledo and a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy from the University of Cincinnati.

Commitment to Community: Jim is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association. He is a national speaker on the topic of U.S. and Canadian healthcare reform. Jim served as United Way National Campaign Chairperson for Luxottica Retail and AnthemBlue Cross and Blue Shield and is a former Board Member of Colorado and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestras.

As the Director of Sales for Middle Market in the Midwest and West, Meghann has spent her entire career in the employee benefits industry. She has successfully consulted with some of the nation’s largest employers in her region seeking employer-paid and voluntary legal programs.

Prior to joining ARAG, Meghann was an accomplished sales professional with a national managed vision care company; EyeMed VisionCare, LLC. In her previous role, Meghann sold to employers ranging in size from 10-2,000 eligible lives. Prior to EyeMed, Meghann worked for one of the Midwest’s leading developers in their marketing and promotions department.

Education: Meghann graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in marketing and communications.

Commitment to Community: Meghann is an active member of the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Denver Chapter of Volunteers of America. She is a former member of the Public Relations Committee for the Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).

Steve Champion, Managing Director, Southeast

As the Managing Director for the Southeast, Steve has more than 25 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. Steve has consulted with some of the nation’s largest employers seeking employer-paid and voluntary legal programs including: SEIU Florida Healthcare, Saks Inc., Health Care Service Corporation and EDS.

Prior to joining ARAG in 1998, Steve held supervisory positions in claims administration, customer service, section 125 plans, marketing and direct sales. He was also a licensed independent insurance broker.

Education: Steve attended the University of Louisville and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political science with a minor in business.

As the Director of Sales for Middle Market in the Northeast and Southeast, Toni has more than 10 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. Toni has successfully consulted with some of the nation’s largest employers seeking employer-paid and voluntary programs.

Prior to joining ARAG, Toni was an accomplished sales professional with a national managed vision care company; EyeMed VisionCare, LLC. In her previous roles, Toni led the small business unit and managed a national sales team.

Education: Toni graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature.

Commitment to Community: Toni is an active member in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. This year she will participate in the 60 mile 3-day walking event to help raise breast cancer awareness and early detection. She has been a member on the board for five years. Toni also supports the OneSight Foundation, which provides eye exams and eyeglasses to those in need around the world. Most recently, she went on a mission to Chicago, Illinois to perform eye exams for children with needs in the inner city schools.

Prior to joining ARAG, Nicole held senior management and sales positions with three of America’s premier benefits companies: Unum, Assurant and Colonial Life.

Education: Nicole graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Arts in mass and speech communications.

Commitment to Community: Nicole is a member of Worldwide Employee Benefits Network (WEB), Eastern Shore Association of Health Underwriters, Maryland Association of Health Underwriters and College and University Professional Association (CUPA) for Human Resources.

As the Managing Director for Wholesale Markets, Jerry has more than 10 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. Jerry has successfully consulted with some of the nation’s largest employers seeking employer-paid and voluntary programs, as well as health plans and insurers setting up private label benefit plans.

Prior to joining ARAG, Jerry was the Director of National Sales with EyeMed VisionCare, LLC, a Luxottica Group Company, where he was responsible for national sales relating to health and dental plans and ancillary insurers. Jerry also spent 15 years with Anthem BCBS (WellPoint) and several years with UnitedHealth Group.

Education: Jerry graduated from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio, with a Masters of Business Administration in finance and a Bachelor of Science and Business Administration in accounting.

Commitment to Community: Jerry is actively involved in coaching youth sports, including baseball, softball and basketball.
