- How will ARAG help me present legal plans to my clients?
ARAG offers a variety of tools and resources to help you sell ARAG legal plans to new and existing clients. You can choose to work directly with a regional sales representative from ARAG or simply request sales collateral.
- How do I apply to sell ARAG legal plans?
First, download the ARAG Producer Application Guide and the agreement. Then, submit a completed application and a signed agreement along with a copy of your Insurance Declaration Page by e-mail or fax to 515-246-8710.
- What license do I need to sell ARAG legal plans?
Producer licensing requirements are determined by each state. To receive commissions from ARAG, you must meet the state licensing requirements of the state in which you will be selling. To find out your state's licensing requirements, call us at 800-888-4184.
- How do I get paid?
Commissions are paid once all required documentation has been submitted and approved. Commissions are paid based on premium received from your clients and are paid via paper check or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Checks are mailed to the current address on file.
- What documentation is required to receive commissions?
ARAG requires that all producers have a current application, proof of insurance coverage, license, and a complete appointment and agreement (disclosing the commission rate) on file before any commission payments can be made.
- What if I am not receiving my commission payments?
If you are not receiving your commission checks and need to update your contact information, please call us at 800-888-4184, ext. 255 or e-mail Legal@ARAGgroup.com. Up-to-date contact information will ensure timely receipt of commission payments.
- Who will my client and I work with to administer the legal plan?
Each client is assigned a dedicated Client Manager who will work closely with you and your clients to administer the legal plan from implementation to enrollment through renewal. The Client Manager will provide ongoing, year-round communication and support that will help maximize participation in the plan.
- Does ARAG require Social Security numbers?
In order to complete the appointment process, and conduct background checks, producers are required to provide their Social Security Number. Please know Social Security Numbers are not required by members.
- Tell me about the attorneys in the ARAG Attorney Network.
Attorneys are selected on an individual basis. ARAG contracts with individuals, not law firms. The ARAG Network is comprised of more than 6,700 attorneys at nearly 7,800 locations across the United States. They specialize in many areas of law, and have on average nearly 25 years of experience.
- Does ARAG offer a Network Guarantee?
Yes. ARAG guarantees members an attorney within 30 miles of their home. If there are no Network Attorneys within 30 miles of the member's home, ARAG will locate an attorney who will serve the member's covered legal benefits at no extra cost or loss of benefit to the member.
- Where is the ARAG Customer Care Center located and how easily can it be accessed?
The award-winning Customer Care Center is located at the North American headquarters in Des Moines, Iowa. Members can rest assured that the Customer Care Center is in-house and will help them choose the best way to use their legal plan based on their particular situation.
