Direct the development and execution as well as manage the team responsible for lead generation, overall sales support, including RFP and proposal generation, dashboard reporting and conference attendance to optimize and augment outside sales efforts in the field and help drive revenue. This position will serve as the Sales liaison within home office meetings, team and projects and will provide leadership and representation in the field at conferences and other industry events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Sales VP and Managing Sales Directors on the development of national and regional sales strategies to grow business in the employer sponsored and affinity markets.
- Develop and provide ongoing management of an internal sales support strategy and service model that increases the reach, efficiency, and productivity of our sales organization.
- Hire, coach and mentor a team of inside sales and sales support professionals responsible for the day to day responsibility of providing lead generation, proposal, and overall sales support to the Sales Directors in the field.
- Build and leverage strong relationships with home office staff to help drive and execute on sales strategies and revenue objectives. Provides sales representation in interdepartmental meetings, including MAC.
- Manage direct-to employer lead generation activities and pipeline reporting to improve revenue results.
- Provide ongoing management and improvement of broker and employer contact database.
- Provide thought leadership on product requirements, competitor analysis, market conditions and approach to distribution.
- Develop and manage relationships with distribution partners.
- Oversee of conference and trade show participation activities.
- Serve as a positive role model by representing the ARAG Values.

Qualifications (including experience and education)
- Thorough knowledge in the area(s) of sales processes, pipeline and sales reporting, negotiation and relationship management.
- Thorough knowledge of employee benefit insurance and financial services industry.
- Thorough knowledge of both direct and broker distribution channels.
- Knowledge of private and public exchanges for employee benefit procurement.
- Strong legal product knowledge.
- Understanding of the RFP and response process and how to position responses effectively.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Superior interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Strong collaboration and conflict resolution skills.
- A willingness to hold team members accountable.
- Strong sense of urgency and an ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive results on a consistent basis.
- Strong analytical skills; must be able to interpret information from the field, industry periodicals, and create and execute on strategies to address trends in the marketplace.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present information in formal and informal settings within the organization as well as within the industry.
- Strong decision-making ability.
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as comfort using the Sales Contact Management System.
- Ability to interface with all levels of management, brokers, and industry leaders at all levels.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Four-year college degree in business, marketing or communications from an accredited college or university or related work-experience. MBA is a plus.
- 7-10 years experience in sales, marketing, or related in sales, 3-5 years experience in managing a team. Experience in the insurance or financial services industry required. Prior experience managing an outbound call center, lead generation and/or support service team a plus.

ARAG: \AHR·ahg\ is an abbreviation of our original parent company; the name means "legal protection insurance." In 2011, ARAG became ARAG SE (Societas Europaea) to reflect the legal form of companies in the European Union.
In the first ARAG logo, a knight in black with sword and shield stands ready to fight for the rights of policyholders. In 1938, the knight was replaced by a round seal with two crossed swords pointed downwards to represent protection. The ARAG logo has remained virtually unchanged to this day.
