- Do you use employee Social Security numbers?
No. As a security measure, we do not use Social Security numbers.
- Tell me about the attorneys in your network?
Attorneys are selected on an individual basis - we contract with individuals, not law firms. Our network of more than 6,700 attorneys at nearly 7,000 locations average more than 20 years of experience and specialize in their areas of practice.
- Who will I work with to administer the legal plan?
You will be assigned a dedicated Client Manager who will work with you based on your company’s needs, from implementation through administration.
- Can you work with my broker?
Yes, we can work with your broker or third-party administrator.
- Does ARAG offer a Network Guarantee?
We provide members an attorney within 30 miles of their home – guaranteed. If there are no Network Attorneys located within 30 miles of a member’s home, ARAG will locate an attorney who will serve the member’s fully covered legal benefits at no extra cost or loss of benefit to the member.
- How does ARAG handle non-covered matters?
Members can still access coverage through the Reduced Fee Benefit. They’ll receive a reduced rate of at least 25% off the Network Attorney’s normal hourly rate for legal services.
- Does your legal plan cover contested matters?
Yes, while other legal plans force members to pay the bill when uncontested matters become contested, our plan covers many contested matters. This means employees won’t feel pressures to forfeit their case because they can’t afford an attorney.
- Where is the ARAG Customer Care Center located?
The award-winning ARAG Customer Care Center is located at the North American headquarters located in Des Moines, Iowa. Members can rest assured that our Customer Care Center is in-house and can help them choose the best way to use their legal plan based on their particular situation.
- How will ARAG help me promote the legal plan to my employees?
Our team of Client Managers will partner with you to develop a customized communications program that will support each phase of the enrollment cycle: enrollment and year-round communications. The program will be designed to educate your employees as well as benefits professionals. A comprehensive communication program is critical to the successful rollout of a new employee benefit.
