Erin Barfels Promoted to Chief Human Resources Officer at ARAG®

DES MOINES, Iowa – Erin Barfels has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer at ARAG^®, a global leader of legal insurance. In her expanded role, Barfels provides leadership and direction for the people strategies of the organization including workforce planning, compensation and benefits, organizational development and other human resource strategies related to the execution of the business objectives.

"Erin provides leadership around our people strategies, and has an active role in the strategic planning process and other tasks that offer support and direction to the business."

Barfels joined ARAG in 2005 as Director, Human Resources and previously served as Human Resources Manager for RSM McGladrey in Des Moines. Barfels earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree with an emphasis on Human Resources Management from Iowa State University. She is a board member of Variety Club of Iowa and is actively involved in other organizations focusing on children and families in need.
